Baby Teddy: Edward Alun Burell Thomson
Becoming parents is a hard decision with thousands of mixed good feelings. Parenting can be exhausting for any new parent but at the same time, it becomes the best thing ever happened in anyone’s life. The One Show presenter, Alex Jones, and her husband Charlie Thomson were no different when they got blessed with a baby boy Edward Alun Burell Thomson, also called baby Teddy on January 22, 2017.

Charlotte Alexandra alias Alex Jones is one of the finest presenters of a British television magazine named The One Show. It has been live broadcasting since 2006 on BBC One. Before going on maternity leave, Jones spent her early pregnancy days with this amazing crew and friends.
Not just the colleagues, the dear husband was always on board with her to this new journey. Alex Jones and an insurance broker named Charlie Thomson met at a party in 2011. After four years, Jones tied the knot with Charlie Thomson and became Alex Jones Thomson in 2015.
First Baby: Edward Alun Burell Thomson
At the age of 39, Alex Jones decided to have her first baby. The decision was filled with terrific thoughts, nervousness, and excitement. As her mom’s menopause started a little early, Alex Jones was worried about infertility while planning to have Teddy Thomson. She did not want to wait any longer to be called ‘Mommy’ and take any risk.
Being pregnant in her 30’s raised some difficult questions for her that were not answered by any pregnancy book properly. Nothing could satisfy her curiosity. She knew that there were more middle-aged mothers who were working hard in career and facing difficulties to act like a normal mommy.
‘Winging it: Parenting in the Middle of Life’
Alex Jones decided to write a support book for women of her age. She named it ‘Winging it: Parenting in the Middle of Life’ and kept writing down her experience every day in that book. Even though her hectic work routine, she used to sit down for hours and write about the journey.
It was all possible because of Teddy Thomson. His existence made Alex Jones realize a lot more about herself. She became stronger than before. Even after Teddy’s birth, the winging was never off the table. Parenting is a full-time responsibility and it’s always a new day of learning. Alex Jones realized that it was a challenge for anyone of any age with different struggles.
Edward Alun Burell Thomson and More Children
On 2nd September 2016, Alex Jones confirms the expected arrival of her first baby Teddy. Soon enough, the couple became parents of Edward Alun Burell Thomson. After his birth, Alex Jones had shared her wish to have more children back then.
At present, Edward Alun Burell Thomson is a 4-year-old and a big brother of Kit Thomson. Not just that, big brother is being prepared to welcome their baby sister who is on her way to their lives. Yes, Alex Jones is 44-year-old and proudly pregnant with her third child and is due anytime now.
Protective Mother
Alex Jones is certainly proven a protective mother who respects her son’s privacy a lot. She shares lovely moments spent with Teddy Thomson on social media, but she makes sure that Teddy’s face is not revealed to cameras. Nothing happened otherwise even in the photo where mommy, daddy, and Teddy Thomson announced the number-3 baby.
The media may not be able to see his cute smile but we are sure that baby Teddy is all set to make room for his little sister. He does play a lot with Kit, but it’s time to pamper a new princess. We believe that Teddy would do a great job at being the oldest son.
Being Amazing Parents
Despite having a hard schedule of work and shooting, the amazing parents never miss any chance to append quality time with be their children. One of the parents is always near Teddy and Kit.
The parenting journey of Alex Jones and Charlie Thomson started with Teddy Thomson. They were clueless but awesome at being new parents. They learned to be parents with every need and baby steps of Edward, the first baby angel of this little paradise.
