His relationship with Lucy Watson

Made in Chelsea star Lucy discussed how they resolved this by making a conscious decision to work together, rather than against each other.
Speaking to Mail Online Lucy revealed:
“At first, we clashed a bit. I am so stubborn and so is he. But then you just realise that you’re good at that and I’m good at that so it’s best to work together. It’s been great for our relationship.”
In 2017 they bought their first house which they renovated.
They bought their first house in 2017 and spent a year renovating it. James in particular got hands-on with the project and Lucy declared he became obsessed with it. Lucy’s fiancee got stuck into the world of architecture, interior design and completely embraced the new project.
A romantic proposal
2020 was a curse for most couples but not in this case. In September 2020 the pair got engaged whilst on a romantic getaway to Greece. James waited until the pair were on a luxury boat trip to pop the question. Despite their strong and lengthy relationship Lucy was still shocked by the proposal and over the moon with the surprise. She revealed the details on an Instagram story and shared how her fiancee had everything planned down to the last detail.

She explained her reaction to the proposal on Instagram:
“The boat was stunning… we went on a crazy beautiful tour of some private islands. We went to take a photo together and there he was on one knee. My heart didn’t beat for like three seconds.”
The wedding was set to be in the summer of 2021. However, their plans are all dependent upon the situation of the pandemic and whether weddings will be allowed to continue in a more ordinary fashion.
His tragic past
While on the surface James Dunmore appears to live the dream life, he is actually carrying a very dark past.
James grew up with two older sisters, Lucinda and Jodi. Tragically, they both passed away just one year apart. James was just 16 when Lucinda, 19, died on March 4 2007. His older sister Jodi died in hospital the following year on November 19 2008, aged 22.
The three of them had a very close relationship and the reality star still carries their teddy to this day.

The girls suffered from cystic fibrosis and knew that their life expectancy was much shorter than most. that didn’t stop them from living their life to the full and the sisters never let their condition get in the way of enjoying life.
Dealing with family loss
One day James Dunmore received a call in school asking him to come to the hospital to see his sister. Shortly afterwards she tragically passed away. Lucinda’s death shook the family and was especially poignant to Jodi who not only lost her sister but someone who had experienced the very thing she had to go through. Just 20 months later Jodie collapsed on a shopping trip. Jodi told her mum she was dying and just hours later she passed away.
