What’s not to love about watching other families watching TV while giving witty commentaries? Another reason why we love Gogglebox are the stars that we get from the show like Scarlett Moffatt, Leon Bernicoff, and Dom Parker. This time, we’re discussing one of the Gogglebox favorites couple, Giles and Mary.

Giles Wood and Mary Killen joined the cast of Gogglebox in 2015 and immediately became fan favourites.
Known to call each other nutty, the pair is full of odd sayings, weird observations, and class A banter!
If it isn’t yet obvious why they call each other nutty, Mary explained to The Daily Star:
“We call each other ‘nutty’ because we both consider the other to be a bit mad.”
“Certainly Giles has multiple personality disorder so he’s all sorts of people and one of them is a bit of a genius. The truth is we’re both neurotic.”

What did Giles and Mary do before Gogglebox?
You probably wouldn’t guess it, but Mary reportedly worked as a model while Giles was studying at Wimbledon Art School.
Today whilst off-screen, Mary wears the hat of author and columnist. She wrote a column for The Spectator as their resident agony aunt. Mary also has her own book titled How the Queen Can Make You Happy published in 2012.
Meanwhile, Giles is an acclaimed artist and has dedicated his whole life to the arts.
It was reported that Giles was initially supposed to join the show with their youngest daughter who later refused. Thankfully, Mary stepped in to save the day! (it only took a 40-minute-long conversation to convince her)

Recently, fans have been wondering – how many members are there in the Wood household?
Giles and Mary daughters have been trending because although we have not seen them on the TV show, it is reported that the pair has two grown-up daughters together.
Not much is known about them as they prefer to stay out of the spotlight but what we do know is that they no longer live at home with Giles and Mary.
However, sometimes we do get snippets into their lives when Mary mentions them in interviews.
Like the time Mary was telling the story of their zero-tolerance policy on swearing at home and where the girls would turn on Giles to tell him off when he accidentally swears.
Mary told the Guardian about swearing in her home:
“There’s so much on telly, I don’t want it in my own cottage. Giles swears occasionally because he’s always having minor accidents. Our children turn on him and tell him off. Poor Giles.”

With such ‘nutty’ parents, it seems like the whole Wood family is made up of great banter.
