What’s Bobby Norris’s Story?
In 2012, Bobby Norris made his first television debut in what was to be the beginning of his career as a television personality.
He appeared in the fourth season of the popular reality show The Only Way is Essex, a show famous for making a reality-TV name for many other stars like Gemma Collins, Mark Wright and Joey Essex.
One of Bobby’s most famous romances on the show was with then-boyfriend Harry, who you might remember from an iconic swimwear scene in particular, which isn’t easy to forget!

Alas, his relationship with Harry wasn’t for the long haul as fans of the show will know. Their split also led to a very awkward reunion in October of last year, for the 10th anniversary edition of the reality show.
Whilst strolling the streets with Amy Childs, Norris turned a corner and literally ran into ex Harry which led to an (expected) awkward exchange.

Norris and Reality TV Star Ryan Antony Spotted Together
Bobby has also been previously romantically linked to star of Absolutely Ascot, Ryan Antony, with whom he was seen leaving a club. And they enjoyed a very public snog in the street…

But even their seemingly-steamy relationship fizzled out, as sadly it wasn’t meant to be for Bobby and Ryan. This led Norris to continue searching for Mr Right.
Bobby Norris Boyfriend Matt Snape
Enter Matt Snape! The couple, who met at a salsa class – a great way to start chemistry – were openly discussed on the reality show. Bobby Norris gushed over boyfriend Snape, expressing his adoration for the support he received. Talking to Snape, Norris said:
“You’re always lifting me up… not many people’s partners have to put up with that s**t and I don’t know if I ever sit back and thank you for it. But you make me feel stronger when you’re here.”

The couple seemed to have great success on the show. They spoke openly about their future, possible engagement and potential to start a family. Norris was seen giggling at the start of their romance. It was obvious the effect Snape had on him.
Speaking of future plans, Norris was hopeful, saying:
“And I think, when the time’s right, and when you’re ready in every aspect to make that step, 100%. We’ll go for it.”
Their relationship soon became a fan-favourite, but they never tied the knot.
Norris Announces Shock Split From Boyfriend Matt Snape
In a shocking move, and despite the obvious love between the two and the support Bobby received from his partner Snape, the relationship came to an end in October 2020.
The pair had spent one solid year together.
Doubts also began when the couple had to go into quarantine in light of the current pandemic – because there’s nothing like quarantine to make you re-evaluate your life, love and what you’re really looking for.

Despite the two going their separate ways, Norris has admitted that the two are on good terms and that there is no bad blood.
Norris stated, in a heartfelt post announcing the split:
“We share some amazing memories of our time together and I truly wish him all the best…x”
Since the split, Bobby Norris has been showing off a very toned physique, while Snape has apparently joined Tinder in the hope of finding love again.

What Was The Reason For Norris And Snape’s Split?
Bobby Norris was the one who made the decision to call time on their relationship.
He decided to make a formal explanation on social media in response to, what he called, “speculation regarding my relationship”. This release was to confirm that Matt and Bobby had sadly ended it.
Despite being the one to make the decision, Norris didn’t find it easy.
Neither Bobby or Matt have spoken about a specific reason for the split, but based on their good terms and kind words, it seems that it was simply something which happened as the relationship fizzled out.
Bobby Norris’s Personal Struggles
Norris has been very open and vocal about his sexuality, and what he has to deal with in regard to being gay.
In response to his sexuality, many people have unfortunately expressed threatening and negative behaviour towards the reality star.
In an interview on the Victoria Derbyshire, he spoke openly about his struggles with the threats regarding his sexuality, and also regarding a petition he began in 2019 to make homophobia illegal.

And his troubles haven’t ended there, as Bobby has even been targeted by trolls since his split from Matt Snape. This includes vile comments about his own tragic cancer scare.
Not to mention that his dating confidence was already severely knocked after his split from TOWIE‘s Harry. The split occurred after Norris discovered that Harry had been cheating on him. *This fact made the awkward street-reunion even more awkward – for Norris and viewers alike…)
Could 2021 Be The Year For Bobby Norris?
Despite all this, Norris ended 2020 with optimism for the new year, looking forward to what 2021 might bring.
Despite the struggles with long-lasting romance, there’s no doubt that Norris still knows how to attract a man and enjoy a fun relationship. It’s clear that Bobby has a lot to give.
And the good terms he ended on with Snape show that he can be mature and positive when it comes to love (even when it doesn’t last).
