Reggie Yates is a British actor, DJ and TV presenter, an all-round talent and an all-round catch. While he may be a constant appearance in the public eye, his private life and relationships are something that don’t surface as often.

The star grew up in North London with his parents who were both born in Ghana. He attended Central Foundation Boys’ School in Cowper Street, Islington. Reggie got his first acting role at the young age of 7 with his appearance in the sitcom Desmond’s.

However, ultimately the wedding plans in the end seemed to be the couple’s downfall. Wedding stress is a huge thing for lots of people and unfortunately it got too much for Reggie. It brought to light the couple’s differences, the pair realised things weren’t right and the couple decided to split. At the time, a source told The Sun:
“The pressure of the wedding got to them and they decided to split. It’s sad because they seemed perfect together.”
The couple confirmed their split just before Valentine’s Day back in 2016.
Reggie is still single and working on his career
It turns out that Reggie is still currently single. The 37-year-old is taking a break from the dating world. In 2018 Reggie did an Interview with the Guardian where he addressed his current dating life:
“I live alone. It’s hard when you work as much as I do, it’s not conducive to dating. I have late-night romantic dinners with my laptop.”
The TV presenter has a similar attitude now as he is more successful than ever and works on a variety of projects. He turned his hand to screen writing for his one-off BBC drama Make Me Famous which was broadcasted in June this year.
In the last couple of years, he has hosted a number of thought-provoking documentaries such as, Searching for Grenfell’s Lost Lives.
Yates’ social media shows the DJ’s journey with himself and his career, that seems to be keeping him busy enough for the moment.
Reggie’s professional relationships are important to him
Aside from romance one of Reggie’s most important relationships has been his professional relationship and friendship with Fearne Cotton. This partnership was a huge factor in Reggie’s success and it was an initial doorway into the industry and a contribution to his current success.
From then on, his career success mainly began in 1986 with this long-standing presenting relationship where they appeared in shows such as The Disney Club and Diggit. This continued for a long time and the pair went on to present a number of Radio One shows together.
