The fact was revealed by a man called David on Facebook, who message the Jaffa Cake official page, asking: “what side of the Jaffa is the bottom?”
A screenshot of the conversation, shared on a Facebook group, shows the company’s response.

They replied: “Hi David, our Jaffa Cakes go through a reservoir of chocolate, so the chocolate is on the bottom. Thanks, Jaffa Cakes.”
Needless to say not only David, but everyone who saw the comments were shocked by the reply!
