The 43-year-old television presenter was left “shocked” when she and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice topped the leaderboard on Saturday’s show (07.11.20) with their Dreamgirls-inspired foxtrot for Movie Week.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Monday (09.11.20), she said:
‘It was a total shock, I wasn’t expected that at all. I’ve watched it over quite a few times just to make sure that actually happened because it doesn’t seem realistic to me.
‘I’ve watched the show so many times and the people who get nines are amazing and I think, “How on earth did I get nines?” It’s mad’.
Ranvir has praised her dance partner for their latest big score, as he keeps pushing her for “a tiny bit more” during training.
She explained:
‘It’s down to Giovanni, he pushes me really hard. It’s quite overwhelming because you’re thinking, “I’m trying my best” and he’s like, “No, I want a tiny bit more from you.”
‘All the time he wants a little bit more and that happens. Then the judges were impressed’.

The ‘GMB’ co-host is already planning for this weekend’s performance as she has splashed out on plasters for her feet.
She added:
‘It’s the Cha Cha today, so I’ve just stopped off to get blister plasters as my little supply for this week’.
It comes after Ranvir was caught icing her feet under her desk on the ITV breakfast show following her debut on the BBC Latin and ballroom show.
She said of training:
‘This week two malarkey is really hard. You’ve got hardly any days and you are learning a whole new dance’.
