What Is Season 5 About?
The fifth instalment will take us from the late ’80s and head in to the ’90s, which we’re all aware was a more than poignant time fir the royals.
With a fire at Windsor, three divorces, the Princess’ tell-all Panorama interview, and of course, her tragic death- it’s set to be a big season.
We’ll also have a new prime minister in the season, in the form of John Major.
Series creator Peter Morgan has hinted that The Crown will reach its finale in the mid- ’90s in season 6, meaning season 5 will most likely end just before Diana’s death in 1997.
