The 54-year-old pro dancer is already out of this year’s competition after he and Jacqui Smith became the first pair to depart the latest season, but it is thought he may step in for Motsi on the judging panel because she won’t be in the studio as she needs to self-isolate after making an “urgent” trip to Germany.
Insiders told The Sun newspaper that show bosses are considering promoting Anton to temporary judge, and a final decision is expected to be made today (13.11.20).
It comes after Motsi revealed on social media yesterday (12.11.20) she had to make an emergency trip to Germany – where she currently lives – this week, and while she is back in the UK now, current government guidelines say she must quarantine for 14 days.

‘Hi Guys – Earlier this week I needed to travel to Germany for an urgent reason. I will of course be following the UK Government guidelines and self-isolating for 14 days. I’ll be watching from home and by the power of technology, should be in your living rooms.
‘Watch out though, I’ll be doing my own hair and make-up! (sic)’.
