Bruno Tonioli says the Strictly Come Dancing family will “never forget” Caroline Flack

The BBC Latin and ballroom series is set to pay tribute to the late star – who tragically took her own life in February – during this weekend’s ‘Best of the Final’ special, which remembers Caroline’s 2014 triumph.
During the programme, judge Bruno says:
‘I loved Caroline, she was so much fun. Great to be with, she was a joy.
‘We will always love Caroline and we will never forget her’.
Presenter Claudia Winkleman describes Caroline – who was the first celebrity to receive a perfect 40 score for all her final routines – as a winner “who stands out amongst them all”.
Her co-host Tess Daly adds:
‘She lit up the ‘Strictly’ ballroom every single week’.

The judges and stars are visibly emotional in the episode as they reflect on Caroline’s time on the show, which saw her win the glitterball trophy with pro partner Pasha Kovalev.
He says:
‘We saw how she transformed into that beautiful dancer with a big heart on her sleeve. That series will always have a special place in my heart’.
Dancer Janette Manrara also comments:
‘The highlight was her showdance. You could feel she was lost in the moment.
‘As a performer you can’t ask for more. It is a memory I hold close to my heart.
‘I think overall she would have said her ‘Strictly’ journey was magical. I’m so happy she was able to pick up that glitterball and win’.
