In the fake ceremony, Paris walked down the aisle to her hubby-to-be to That’s Amore by Dean Martin, she was accompanied by her pet Pomeranian, and a Marilyn impersonator as a bridesmaid.

Piers went to some effort with his outfit too – a blue suit and tie, designed by Pal Zaleri, with Prada shoes.
They two exchanged rings: Piers getting a simple wedding band while Paris wore a diamond from Nordstrom, the American chain of department stores.
Bizarrely, they even had a wedding reception which was at Planet Hollywood.
In the original broadcast, Piers said:
‘You know what it’s like, you have a few drinks, spend too long on the blackjack table, get over-excited and decide to do something silly.
‘Paris scrubbed up to be a very beautiful bride!’
Paris remarked:

As Piers had a fiancée at the time, Celia, he explained:
‘When I told her the news, she just shrugged her shoulders sadly and said, “How can I ever compete with Paris Hilton?”‘
