Masterchef The Professionals: When Is It Back On TV?
In the latest TV news, it’s been announced that the new series of Masterchef: The Professionals will be moving to BBC One this autumn.
The show is a spin-off of the well-loved Masterchef, but rather than home cooks compete to be the winner, the best Great British chefs battle it out to be crowned Masterchef: The Professionals champion.
Who won Masterchef: The Professionals 2019?
The last series of the show saw Olivia Burt, Exose Grant Lopo-Ndinga and Stu Deeley make it to the final week.
And then there were Three! So proud of Olivia, Exose and Stu,, what a journey they have had & I’ve loved being a part of it. But there can only 1 Winner. 2019…who’s it gonna be? @MasterChefUK pic.twitter.com/WFv6av7oec

It was won by Stu Deeley as his Birmingham-inspired food blew the judges away.
When he was crowned champion he said:
‘I can’t believe it. I’ve never won anything in my life so to win this today is such an unreal feeling. I’m so, so happy.
‘It’s a great feeling that my food is of a style that people understand. That’s all I wanted. It’s been, honestly, one of the best things I’ve done in my life. I want that buzz and excitement to carry on’.
He continued:
‘I’m a person who sometimes lacks self-belief and I don’t like to push myself into the limelight. That’s why I chose to enter the competition; to show my little boy that if you want something, you have to face your fears and go and get it. The most challenging part for me was the Skills Test. I just stopped thinking like a chef!
‘Winning is not something I ever believed I could do. It’s been an amazing feeling to keep passing each round and beating my own expectations.
‘When Jack watches this back on the telly, I don’t think he’ll understand how difficult it’s been to be away from him. But it’s all worth it. Jack’s going to be proud of his dad!’

Will all the judges be back?
The culinary contest is currently judged by Michelin star chef Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace.
Masterchef judge John Torode has never been part of this spin-off and was originally replaced with Michel Roux Jr; with Monica joining in the following series as his sous-chef.
However, after ‘a conflict in commercial interests’ the renowned chef was replaced with Marcus.
Who are the previous winners?
Back in 2008, Derek Johnstone was the first champion of the show.
There have only been two women winners – Claire Lara and Keri Moss; the latter of which was a joint winner with Anton Pitrowski in 2012. They were the first joint winners in the entire franchise’s history!
Other previous champions are Steve Groves, Ash Mair, Steven Edwards, Jamie Scott, Mark Stinchcombe, Gary Maclean, Craig Johnston and Laurence Henry.
Where can I watch Masterchef: The Professionals?
Series nine and ten have recently been added to Netflix for your viewing pleasure and the best bit is that you don’t need to have seen any of the previous series to start at either!
The newest series of the show will be returning to BBC One in Autumn.
