When it comes to Canham’s fortune, let’s just say, for a 23-year-old she can’t be doing bad as it was revealed that she recently turned down a £7000 one MINUTE job for a brand.
Remaining true to her fans, she turned the deal down as the brand wasn’t one that fit with her and her audience.
There’s no doubt that Canham doesn’t share the same money worries that most others in their early-20s do, but it hasn’t always been that way.

Where Did It All Begin?
Six years ago Emily actually quit her all-girls school just after completing her AS levels:
“I was bullied when I was younger, then at secondary school there was cattiness and bitchiness – and because I didn’t want to be involved, I was isolated. That’s why I removed myself from the situation.”
She then ‘fell in to Youtube’, mainly out of boredom but then decided to make videos full-time.

After making videos for two years without seeing any money from it, she made her first £60 from an AD.
She then moved to London to pursue her Youtube career, with her parents promising her one month’s rent, before she had to go it alone.
And now, she’s turning down £7k deals, much like other big social media names like Lydia Millen Instagram are able to!

How Does She Make Her Money?
Canham makes her money through sponsored posts, ADs and affiliate links, working with some of the biggest fashion and beauty brands on the market.
She’s also a L’Oreal makeup ambassador, which through her work with them and the Prince’s Trust, got her the chance to meet Prince Charles:
“I met Prince Charles which was phenomenal and he took such an interest in what I did.”

“That was with the Prince’s Trust, which is something I am so passionate about – it was unbelievable. That was probably the most pinch-me moment for sure.”
The 23-year-old admitted that her agent handles her fees, and actually doesn’t like to know herself what she charges for jobs.

Despite moving on to big things, she admits that Youtube will always be her number one:
“I’m going to be on YouTube for the rest of my life, regardless of what I do next, YouTube will be my forever thing.”

Emily Canham Boyfriend: Who Is He?
Since her very public split back in 2017, with ex and fellow Youtuber Jake Boys, she’s kept her dating life fairly private.
She has, however, shared some insight in to her relationship with boyfriend James Bourne.

The 23-year-old has been happily dating 36- year-old Busted star, James Bourne, for over a year now.

Emily Canham Boyfriend: How Did They Meet?
The pair were introduced through James’ brother, and shared a friendship for about a year before progressing it to anything else.
Their 14-year age gap made things more difficult, with Emily insisting on taking things slow because of it:
“There is a large age gap between us, I wanted to know his intentions before absolutely anything so, it was a friendship for quite a while before anything turned into anything.”

Talking of her boyfriend’s fame, she admitted to not actually being much of a fan of his growing up, but she of course knew of him:
“I only really discovered Busted when McFly toured with them and I just thought wow this is cool, I like their music. It wasn’t like I had been a fan of him since I was young.”

With James’ successful music career and Emily’s social media career, the couple tend to split their time between London and LA (well, they did before Corona became a thing).
They actually spent lockdown in James’ seafront Cornwall home…

Speaking of moving in together, Canham insisted they had no plans any time soon, given the nature of their jobs:
“If he is in London, he can be at mine, if we are in LA, I can be at his. There is no need to get one place together, when we both have a place each that if we are in that country, we can be at that place.”
