Who is Ant Middleton?
Anthony Middleton was born on September 22nd, 1980 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. Ant was then brought up in France.

On a night out in 2013 in his hometown, Chelmsford, Essex, a fight broke out between Ant’s group of friends and another group of men.
While Ant tried to break up the dispute, he made it even worse by assaulting two police officers!
In what Ant described as n ‘alcohol-fuelled’ response, he attacked two police officers before making a run for it.
After the incident, a remorseful Ant commented:
“On the night it happened I just had to escape, not run. My survival skills were in overdrive and I needed time to think so I headed to the river.”
“Eventually the police dogs were out in force and it was time to give myself up.”

As a consequence, Ant Middleton was sentenced to 14 months in prison but was let out just four months after for good behaviour.
His time in prison saw him working as a gym orderly, floor mopper and an English tutor.
While he regretted his actions, his time in prison made Ant a better person.

“That night was a turning point in my life but did not ruin my life. It was a clash of authority. I just lost my temper.”
“A little conflict happened which turned physical. I’ve regretted it ever since. It’s one of the biggest regrets I’ve had in my life.”

In 2017, Ant co-authored SAS: Who Dares Wins: Leadership Secrets from the Special Forces, his first ever book! Other co-authors include his special forces colleagues Ollie Ollerton, Jason Fox, and Colin Maclachlan.
Realising his passion for writing, Ant published his autobiography in 2018 titled First Man In: Leading from the Front which went on to become a Sunday Times No. 1 best seller!
His second book then followed in 2019 when he published The Fear Bubble: Harness Fear and Live Without Limits and which also became a Sunday Times best seller!

And as for Ant’s experience on the telly, SAS: Who Dares Wins was broadcasted in 2015 and it immediately became a hit, propelling the TV show host to the celebrity limelight.

He joined Mutiny which screened in February 2018. Ant starred as a boat captain in an adventure/reality crossover show which he described as ‘mentally speaking, the hardest thing I’ve ever done.’
