TV Programmes We All Wanted To Be On As Kids

Was there anything better than running home from school, flopping yourself on the couch and settling down to watch your fave show?

Sometimes it was pretty hard to pick between CBBC and CITV if there was a clash between Jungle Run and Raven but seen as though that was the biggest decision that we faced, life was pretty good.

There were the obvious classics from Art Attack to My Parents Are Aliens but it was the game shows that seriously peaked our interest as we were desperate to win that gameboy or digital watch…

Jungle Run

Spare a thought for all those who never made it out…

This was probably the most elite of the shows. It was set in the jungle, had monkeys Sid and Elvis and had a banging theme tune.

You had to complete a series of challenges to earn silver monkeys to have as much time as possible in the Temple of the Jungle King. What is not to love?

Looking back, the prizes scream noughties but at the time I was DYING to win that digital watch.
