It looks like Bernard Matthews has done us a solid, teasing the return of the cult-classic twists of breaded chicken delight. The manufacturers have taken to social media to spread unexpected news at a time when the world is ‘in more need of joy than ever’.

Turkey Twizzlers Were Famously Removed From School Dinners After Jamie Oliver’s Campaign In 2005

In 2005, chef Jamie Oliver conducted a campaign as part of his Channel 4 series School Dinners; where he sought to improve the nutritional value of school cooked meals.

This campaign marked the end of the Turkey Twizzler era, and after facing scrutiny from Oliver, turkey twizzlers vanished from supermarkets and stopped appearing on the Bernard Matthews website.
