However, in recent weeks, we’ve seen holidaymakers scramble to get back to the UK after the government have made last minute travel restrictions, announcing that those in several ‘high-risk’ countries must quarantine for 14 days should they not return home in time.

So, we’ve rounded up some of the destinations thought to be currently the safest to travel to, where the rate of new infections remain low at the moment…
Italy
Italy was once one of the hardest hit places in the world, but it’s since managed to reduce its daily cases to be one of the lowest in Europe, with 259,345 overall infections.

Also increasing its desirability is that at the moment, the country has no travel restrictions for Brits – we can enter the country and travel freely.
