Ben Ofoedu’s Early Days
Ben Ofoedu was born on June 29th, 1972.
He was originally from Hong Kong but moved to the UK with his family when he was just two years old, where he spent his years growing up in Newbury Park, London.
The singer-songwriter has had an exciting career in music as well as in television.
His music career began when he joined the band Benz in 1993, which led him to become the lead singer of Phats & Small in 1999.
His single ‘Your Love’ was released in the year 2000. The following year, he and former Boyzone member Shayne Lynch joined the band REDhill.
Ben then appeared on Making Your Mind Up with the group Four Story who were on the road to representing the UK at the Eurovision contest that year. Unfortunately, they only came in fifth place.
Ben Ofoedu on the Telly
In 2006, Ben appeared on The All Star Talent Show on TV.
Ben regularly appears on the telly alongside his long-time partner and wife Vanessa Feltz. (Don’t worry, we’ll give you the low down about Ben and Vanessa a little later on)
Ben and Vanessa have appeared together on shows such as Celebrity Wife Swap and they even won £150,000 on the celebrity version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire!
In 2014, they also joined Celebrity Big Brother’s ‘Bit on the side’ as panel members.
Vanessa Feltz
Now for the part that you’ve been waiting for – some juicy celebrity relationship gossip!
But before that, let’s learn a little bit about Ben’s other half, Vanessa Feltz.
Vanessa Feltz is a journalist and television personality.
She began writing for The Jewish Chronicle as their first female columnist. Vanessa then joined the Daily Mirror where she wrote her first book What Are These Strawberries Doing On My Nipples? I Need Them For The Fruit Salad.
She then hosted The Big Breakfast and also had her own series on the BBC called The Vanessa Show.
Besides this, she also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother’s first series and other reality TV series.
The Celebrity Big Brother Star has been engaged to Ben Ofoedu for over 13 years!
Before Ben, Vanessa was married to surgeon Michael Kurer for 17 years and together they had two daughters Allegra and Saskia. Michael and Vanessa divorced in 2000.
Then in 2006, Ben and Vanessa became engaged! Their wedding was planned for 2007, and again in 2011 but they have yet to officially tie the knot.
When asked about the delay, it seems Vanessa’s past experience is causing her to be reluctant.

Nevertheless, the pair lives happily engaged together in a house previously owned by the art king Charles Saatchi in St John’s Wood, London.
Vanessa once revealed that the pair have ‘spectacular athletic sex’ and we can’t be more envious! The then 57 year old goes on to prove that age is just a number.
More specifically, she told The Sun:
“As long as I’ve got a spring in my step and a bit of “oomph”, I’m still in the market for a bit of spectacular athletic sex – much more than the missionary position.”
When asked if her libido has been affected by her age, she went on to say:
“I can’t get pregnant anymore and with empty nest syndrome, the great up shot of that is you can have sex in any position, at any time, over the kitchen counter, in the garage, over the dishwasher, wherever.”
Don’t you just love it when celebrities tell us every detail about their love life?
Ben Ofoedu and Vanessa Feltz In Love
Early in 2019, Ben shared to the public that he thinks his fiancée is even more sexy now following her gastric bypass surgery.
Vanessa has had a gastric band since 2010 but it later developed gastroesophageal reflux that made her feel as though she was ‘drowning’ at times.
The TV star then underwent gastric bypass surgery which took three hours longer than expected.
Anxious fiancé Ben was waiting anxiously and going ‘out of his mind not knowing what was happening.’
In the end, the surgery was successful, and Vanessa dropped three stones.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Ben spoke openly about his love for Vanessa:
“What’s sexy to me is someone who is happy in themselves, so when Vanessa is happy so am I.”
