11 Things Every Girl Who Went To Brownies Will Remember
Whether your mum forced you into it to socialise and give her some peace or whether you chose to go of your own volition, Brownies were some of the most mediocre days of our lives.
We were basically sat in a cold room, waiting to be picked up and running round like maniacs. Then occasionally we would get a badge or something and to be fair, it felt like we had just been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize.

Through the ages of seven to ten, we sat in a weird brown and yellow uniform and wasted an hour a week of our lives. Whilst we saw brochures of other Brownie groups ziplining and white water rafting – which is the only reason we signed up – we were somehow fed orange juice and questionable biscuits and made to look like we were enjoying ourselves.
We never quit though…
From the uniform to the flag carrying, you’re bound to remember (and have a bit of PTSD) from all of these things.

Getting Your Badges
For nine years of age, this was just about the most accomplished feeling that we could experiene. And nothing has quite matched it since, not even that degree certificate.
We wanted loads to fill our sash but there was always someone with LOADS more that we were super jealous of.
