11 Memories We All Have From Going On Holiday As A Kid

Going on holiday as a kid was peak excitement as we didn’t sleep for weeks before. We had to tell all our friends that we were going away, pack our fave outfits and make sure we had our £5 worth of pocket money turned into euros. What a time to be alive!

From having the weird ice creams you could only get abroad to just enjoying a bit of sun and a pool, going abroad was one of the things we remember super vividly from our childhoods. Even the airport was incredibly exciting!

Getting Hair Braids

This was the only way we could let everyone in school know that we had been on holiday. And as it wasn’t technically allowed, it just made super cool, right? We’d spend the first half of the holiday dropping massive hints that we wanted one then asking for a henna tattoo so our mum would see the braid as the easier option.
