5. Maxine Peacock – Then
Maxine Peacock appeared on ITV soap Coronation Street back in the nineties and early noughties as the wife of butcher Ashley Peacock. She was killed out of the soap by evil serial killer Richard Hillman who hit over the head with a crowbar. It was certainly a memorable exit!
Maxine worked as a hairdresser on the cobbles and was remembered as being a ‘good time girl’. She went on to have relationships with Curley Watts, Des Barnes, and a shock affair with Steve McDonald.
