Lydia Elise Millen Instagram: How She Made It
Like a lot of the original beauty and fashion ‘influencers’, her internet career started with a blog. Posting everything from outfits, to handbag reviews, to new makeup releases- she first started out behind the camera.
But, as audiences moved away from written blogs, to more virtual blogs (vlogs), with the growth of Youtube and Instagram, it meant blogging was pushed to the back.
Instead, her followings on both Youtube and Instagram took off, enabling her to make a living as a full-time influencer. Which essentially requires her to share things she’s wearing and using, in hopes to influence her audience to buy in to it.

As well as using affiliate links, Lydia also has some long-running partnerships with brands, who pay her directly to promote their stuff.

Net Worth
Lydia’s extensive career as an influencer has racked her up an impressive net worth of around £300k. And that’s not including the million pound home she owns.
Not only has her personal style taken the fancy of her followers, but her home interiors have also earned their own place.
So much so, her and her male influencer husband, Ali Gordon, now document their home on a separate account with 255k followers of its own.

Lydia Elise Millen Instagram: Releasing Her Own Brand
But, things don’t always go as planned when it comes to ‘influencing’.
Off the back of her massive audience, Lydia of course decided to make the most of it and monetise on it by bringing out her own product.

Disappointing Launch
Having teased the release of her line ‘Glò By Lydia Elise Millen’ for months now, she was dropping hints that the product would be to do with self- tanning.
Fans were expecting a launch of her own product that would go along with the glowy, bronzed- skin brand she’s created of herself. Instead, her release flopped when she revealed the product to be a ‘self-tanning kit’.
Retailing at £50 for a bag with a tanning mitt- and not much else- inside, the feedback was unsurprisingly disappointing.

Lydia Elise Millen Instagram: Personal Life
As far as personal life goes, the lifestyle influencer doesn’t really have one. Much of her online success is thanks to the insight she gives in to her life, including her marriage and house and not just what she’s buying and wearing.
Her husband, Ali Gordon, also works in the online world so naturally a lot of their lives are exposed.
The pair met after Ali liked one of her Instagram posts around 7 years ago:
“Ali’s friend showed him a picture of a girl that I’m friends with and he found a picture of me with her on her Instagram and went onto my page.

Love At First Like
“He liked a picture of my iPad mini (yes I still remember) and when I saw his picture I was instantly intrigued so I followed him.”
“Then he found me on Twitter and we started direct messaging there. As for love at first like, the attraction was definitely instant and I followed him straight back but in actual fact we didn’t get into an official relationship for about four months after.”
The pair went on to get married in a beautiful winter wedding back in December 2017.
