Louis Theroux Wife And Life Behind The Camera
For the past two decades, Louis Theroux has created some incredibly eye-opening and gripping documentaries. What do we know about Louis Theroux‘s wife and his life behind the camera?
From interviewing porn stars to white supremacists and everything in between, Louis Theroux is one of the most-respected journalists and documentary filmmakers of our time. Far from documentaries by those such as Maya Jama, Louis examines subcultures and marginal societies as he explores the depths of these peripheral beliefs.
In order to extract as much of an insight as possible, he often lives among those he is interviewing and delves into the culture. Louis has had a massage from a porn star and had fat sucked out his stomach by a plastic surgeon in his quest to delve deep into these realms.
We’ve seen him on the television but what is his life like behind the camera?

Who Are Louis Theroux’s Wife And Family?
Louis Theroux was born in Singapore to his English mother and American father. His father, Paul Theroux is a travel writer and novelist best known for writing The Great Railway Bazaar. The book was an account of his epic journey by train from Great Britain to Japan and back. Since, he was written several successful travel tales including a train journey from Boston to Argentina.
Louis was previously married to Susanna Kleeman with the marriage lasting for three years. However, as Theroux later divulged to the Financial Times, the marriage was merely one of convenience. In his words:
“What happened was that my girlfriend was living with me in New York. She was having trouble finding work … legally. So we got married, to make it easier for her.
“We never really considered ourselves married in the full sense – there were no wedding photos or anything like that. It was really a marriage of convenience.”
Who Is His Second Wife Nancy Strang?
11 years after their marriage ended, Theroux tied the knot with Nancy Strang. The two met when working at the BBC in 2002 and went on to have three children together, Albert, Frederick and Walter.
Before their third child arrived, Nancy suffered two miscarriages which Louis has addressed in his writings.
Just like her husband, Kleeman has been in the television career for over two decades, working as a TV director and documentary-maker. Working on Timewatch, Imagine and more, Nancy also co-founded a production company called Mindhouse Productions where she worked as the director of development.
