He Started A Travel Agency
Back in 2008, the multi-talented rapper decided to set up his own travel website called Kanye West Ventures. He hoped to make the business idea into an Expedia-inspired site with hotel and flight comparisons; his USP was that it’d all be delivered with a ‘hip-hop’ feel. Things didn’t quite work out…
He Did An Internship At Fendi
West moved to Rome after the infamous Taylor Swift incident and spent four months as an intern for Fendi. But West wasn’t designing and modelling the clothes, his duties at the Italian fashion house included fetching cappuccinos and making photocopies.
“I was really just presenting ideas for clothing and just ideas I had about fabrics, and just trying to learn more and more about that in, you know, like, other creative fields.”

Kanye Is Swahili For ‘The Only One’
Kanye has gone through a lot of name changes over the years. We’ve had ‘Yeezy’, ‘Konman’ and then ‘The Louis Vuitton Don’ (in that order…). But his real name is actually Kanye Omari West.
He Didn’t Own A Mobile For Years
Th rapper didn’t own a mobile phone until 2011 – he only bought one when he saw that Kim Kardashian had become engaged to Kris Humphries:
“I looked on the Internet and there was Kim Kardashian with some extremely tall person. I was like, I need to call her or something, so I started sending her pictures of certain basketball players that used to be cool, [but] now they wear their pants, like, all they way up to here. This is your future!”

He’d also confirmed his phonelessness in a previous interview in 2010:
“I don’t have a phone to this day,” West said. “It’s old-school; I’m like ’80s. When I leave the crib, I be writing numbers on a sheet of paper.”
