Fresh Meat Cast – Where Are They Now?
What are the Fresh Meat cast doing now?
The student sitcom Fresh Meat took over everyone’s screens (and lives) back in 2012 and left us too soon in 2016. Capturing the awkwardness, excitement and fear that comes with being an undergraduate, the show managed to balance big laughs with big drama.

But four years on from their graduation from Manchester Medlock (they grow up so fast… *sniffs*), we’re taking a look at what the Fresh Meat cast are up to nowadays…

Charlotte Ritchie – Oregon
The wannabee hipster Oregon stole our hearts as well as Professor Shales’, but since things finished at Manchester Med, actress Charlotte Ritchie has played many a role.

From playing Nurse Barbara Gilbert in Call The Midwife to appearing on 8 Out of 10 Cats, Charlotte has done it all – comedies, panel shows and dramas.
Jack Whitehall – JP
It’s no secret that since playing poshie JP on Fresh Meat, Jack Whitehall has gone on to BIG things.

As well as voicing a Troll Priest in Disney’s Frozen and writing, producing and acting in Bad Education, Whitehall’s dabbled in presenting. And when we say dabbled, we actually mean he’s hit the dizzy heights of hosting the BRIT Awards. Basically, things are going well for JP… oops, sorry JW.
Kimberly Nixon – Josie
From Jobbo to Josie, we watched Kimberly Nixon’s character develop from a little girl to a woman.
And since Fresh Meat, the actresses career has gone from strength to strength. She popped up on our TV screens alongside Friends star Matthew Perry in The Dog Thrower and also starred in Sky’s medical drama Critical.

Outside of acting, Nixon won an episode of Celebrity Mastermind in 2015, with Agatha Christie’s Poirot novels as her specialist subject.
Joe Thomas – Kingsley
With plenty of job offers after the show concluded, the actor who played Kingsley took on parts in The Inbetweeners Movie and then Scottish Mussel. Most recently, Thomas began work on a comedy radio series Proposal where he plays a man preparing to propose to his girlfriend.

Greg McHugh – Howard
Howard has been keeping busy since leaving the show – actor Greg McHugh played a role in Channel 4’s Dates, starred in the Bad Education Christmas Special – alongside co-star Jack Whitehall – and featured in BBC’s Marvellous as Malcolm, Neil Baldwin’s friend.

Zawe Ashton – Violet
Like her successful co-stars, Vod actress Zawe Ashton bagged roles after graduating from the University. From the Channel 4 comedy-drama Not Safe For Work to Sky’s Psychobitches, she also popped up in Doctor Who as reluctant soldier Journey Blue.
