Who is Cliff Parisi?
Born in 1960, Cliff Parisi is 60 years old. Mr Parisi left school when he was just 13 years old.
He is best known for playing cheeky, cheerful mechanic Minty Peterson in EastEnders. Did you know Cliff played Minty in the BBC soap for a total of 8 years, between 2002 and 2010?
Cliff currently plays the role of gardener Fred Buckle in Call the Midwife, a recurring role that began back in 2012.
Mr Parisi’s talents aren’t just limited to soaps, however. The star actually started out as a stand-up comedian back in 1982!
His most recent adventure involved Cliff competing in the 2019 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! While Cliff entered the jungle late and was only the third celebrity to leave, he managed to make a name for himself by admitting he snuck salt and pepper into the camp in his pants!
Who is Cliff Parisi’s Wife?
Cliff Parisi’s wife is Tara Wyer and she’s a producer at the BBC.
Tara has had a hand in producing many popular BBC shows, including The Weakest Link, Nigella and The National Lottery.
The producer has two children with Cliff, a son called Arthur and another child whose name and gender are unknown.
How Did The Couple Meet?
The pair met while both working at the BBC in 2009, with Tara working as a producer and Cliff playing Minty in EastEnders.
They were clearly smitten, as Tara became Cliff Parisi’s wife in 2010. The pair’s wedding images were shared in OK! Magazine in the same year.

Cliff has five children in total, three children from a previous relationship and two with Tara. His eldest three are called Mandy, who is in her early 30s, and Dean and Jack, who are in their 20s.
His young son, Arthur, is believed to be 3 or 4. Unfortunately, neither Cliff nor Tara are social media users and they keep their family life very private. Therefore, family pictures are very hard to come by!
Learning from the Past
It’s not known why Cliff is so private about his family, including Parisi’s wife, however he has been very open about his past.
Cliff had a difficult childhood, as his parents were thrown out of their home when Cliff and his older sister were just babies for refusing to ‘sell’ their children to the landlady. He explained:
“When my mum came back from hospital with me, she wouldn’t give me or my sister up so the landlady threw us all out.”
Parisi didn’t actually find out about this until he was in his 50s and found it difficult to come to terms with. Thankfully, they remained a close family.
Perhaps as a result of his difficult upbringing, Cliff took part in a bank robbery at the age of 19. He was jailed for the crime for 18 months, but only publicly discussed it for the first time when he was in the jungle.
He has expressed his deep regret for his actions and it was actually in prison that he discovered his love for acting:
“No one regrets it more than I do. I also hope it inspires young men in jail not to give up hope. It is possible to get your life back on track again.”
That’s pretty inspirational. Clearly, Cliff Parisi’s wife feels the same – she looks like a very proud partner!
