Demi’s career took off in the mid-’80s, following her appearance in the risque comedy ‘Blame It On Rio’ and the drama ‘St Elmo’s Fire’, which didn’t get good reviews from the critics but was a box office success. She was a beautiful woman and had been a model whilst trying to break through.
