He really loved his bow
“It was the take before my last take I was ever going to shoot on Lord of the Rings, and my bow broke… And I couldn’t believe it. My bow broke. My bow’s not supposed to break. You know, this bow had been with me for eighteen months of filming.”
Orlando goes on to say in the DVD commentary that Fran and Peter were equally surprised to hear what had happened.
“My bow’s not supposed to break!”
Apparently, they both said something along the lines of:
“Well then… I guess it’s coming to the end then, eh?”
Cue the sobs and packet of tissues. Isn’t it sad when something so good comes to an end?
