What is his background?
Thomas Michael John Fury was born in Manchester on May 7th, 1999.
Fellow professional boxer, Tyson Fury, shares his father – John – with Tommy, making them half-brothers.
Tommy’s mother is named Chantal and is of Mauritian descent.
Tommy’s fighting career
The Love Island star made his professional boxing debut on December 22nd 2018 after tutelage from world champion, Ricky Hatton. He beat Latvia’s Jevgenijs Andrejevs by points decision.
On 23rd March 2019, he won his second fight against fellow Brit Callum Ide. He defeated him in a first round knockout.

After taking part in the ITV reality show, Tommy returned to his career on December 21st, 2019.
He had yet another win against Poland’s Przemyslaw Binienda, this time, by technical knockout in the first round; the fight was shown live on BT Sport.
When is the next Tommy Fury fight?
Due to the current COVID-19 global pandemic and isolation rules, it is unknown when Tommy’s next fight will be.
His time on Love Island
Tommy starred in the fifth series of the dating show and was a late-comer alongside professional ballroom and latin dancer, Curtis Pritchard.
Despite landing himself in a love triangle almost as soon as he entered the villa, he eventually found love with fellow Mancunian Molly-Mae Hague.
The handsome couple were the favourites to win the show, but were pipped to the £50,000 by Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.
Tommy and Molly-Mae are the only couple from the fifth series who are still together.

How close are Tommy and Tyson?
There is an eleven year age difference between the two half-brothers.
It’s not just them who are into boxing; it actually has a long history in the Fury family.
For example, the boys father, John Fury, became a professional boxer after starting off his fighting career as a bare-knuckle boxer. Some of their cousins and distant relatives are also in the fighting industry.
John, who went by the name ‘Gypsy’, was Tyson’s boxing coach until he was arrested in 2011. It is unknown why John did not coach Tommy for his boxing career.
Although they do not appear together much on social media, it is obvious to see that Tommy is proud of his older brother and his achievements.
