Who is Rylan Clark’s husband?
Dan Neal, now known as Dan Clark-Neal, is Rylan Clark’s husband.
Dan was originally a police officer who investigated child sex abuse, including Scotland Yard’s Operation Yewtree (allegations against celebrities, such as Jimmy Savile).
How did the couple meet?
In 2013, he entered the Big Brother House. After being evicted from the house after six weeks, he was interviewed by Rylan, who hosted the spin off show, Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Not long after, the pair began dating. In a romantic getaway in September 2014, Dan got down on one knee and popped the question!

In November 2015, the pair got married in a surprisingly small ceremony. Naturally they were surrounded by family and showbiz friends, including Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Langsford, Katie Price (who gave Rylan his first TV appearance on her show, Signed by Katie Price) and Steps’ Claire Richards (who met Rylan when they were housemates on Celebrity Big Brother).
Are they going to expand their family?
Dan is father to Cameron; speaking about him, Rylan said:
‘I look at him [Cameron] like he’s my own. He can talk to me – I’m Dad, but he can talk to me about sex! I’ll say, “As long as you’re being safe!”
‘If that was Dan, he’d be like, “Stop it, Dad!”‘.

Cameron is currently trying to make it in the showbiz industry:

When asked if Rylan and Dan will ever have children, the former shared:
‘We’ve got Cameron and at this point in time it’s just not the right thing for us.
‘We’re lucky to be so busy.
‘It’s all about timing, especially at this time in my work when things might be changing with new ventures.
‘I feel like I need to put my head more into that, but I’m definitely not ruling out.
‘Of course I’d love to at some point’.
How they’ve changed the face of TV
In 2016, Rylan Clark Neal and husband Dan Neal made history by being the first same-sex couple to host This Morning. Normally either Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby or Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford host the show.

They have continued to host ITV’s morning live shows but don’t expect the married couple on your screens anytime soon:
‘Everyone knows we’re married, but I don’t want to rub it in people’s faces’.
However, Rylan added,
‘We’re working together on stuff, but Dan does bits behind the scenes’.
What is Rylan’s background?
Rylan was born Ross Richard Clark on October 25th, 1988.
Since he was 16 years-old, Rylan has been a part-time model. His modelling agency decided that his name was “too boring” so named him Kielan. However, his royalty check was sent to ‘Mr K Clark’ and hence he was not allowed to cash the cheque. He decided to go to WHSmith and picked out ‘Rylan’ from the R section of a book of baby names.
He moved to Ibiza and starred in multiple Take That and Westlife tribute bands. Rylan was also part of 4bidden – a Spanish boy band.
In 2011 he was part of Sky Living’s Signed by Katie Price. He ended up coming second to model, Amy Willerton.
It was 2012 which saw Rylan propel into the limelight. He auditioned for The X Factor in front of judges Louis Walsh, Tulisa, Rita Ora and Gary Barlow.
The Essex lad had quite a memorable experience on the show, especially when his mentor Nicole Scherzinger told him that he was in her final three…

His life after The X Factor
Not one to shy away from reality TV, Rylan starred in the eleventh series of Celebrity Big Brother.
Up against Claire Richards, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock and Ryan Moloney, he was crowned the winner in a live final!
When the show moved to Channel 5, he was made one of the co-hosts for the show, Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.
Since then he has gone on to present numerous other television shows, such as The Xtra Factor Live, The One Show and the remake of Supermarket Sweep.
He also hosts the revamp of Ready, Steady, Cook and is also a co-presenter for Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two alongside Zoe Ball.
In 2018, he took over from Mel Giedroyc as a co-commentator for the semi finals of the Eurovision Song Contest with Scott Mills.
It wasn’t all meant to be
Rylan was in Lisbon with Scott for the semi finals of the singing competition when he was told that his husband was in a “deeply critical condition”.
In an interview, he revealed:
‘It got to the Friday, the day before the final. I’m not going to lie, I was so excited to be there.
‘I’ve always been a fan and so to be asked to do it in the first place was a big tick off my list.
‘But when I found out Dan was ill I didn’t say anything to anyone. I just went on my phone, booked my flight and then explained, “I’m really sorry, but I’ve got to go home.”
‘Everyone got it because I wasn’t going to do that lightly.
‘I went back to sort everything that needed to be sorted out’.
He has kept Dan’s illness private for now, but has assured fans that the former police officer is now recovered.
