Bond and Clarkson’s father, Edward Clarkson were set to meet and discuss about the dispute but coincidentally met in the lift and quickly built a rapport. The Clarksons were then awarded license to sell globally, eventually penetrating into Britain’s then biggest toy store, Hamleys.
Because of this, Jeremy was able to attend the private Hill House School and later Repton School.

Jeremy Clarkson’s first ever job was as a travelling salesman for his parents, selling their famous Paddington Bear toys.
Later, he started training as a journalist, writing for several notable newspapers.
Clarkson’s passion as a motoring writer began with the Shropshire Star where he wrote on Fiats and Peugeots.
He said:
“I started small, on the Shropshire Star with little Peugeots and Fiats and worked my way up to Ford Granadas and Rovers until, after about seven years, I was allowed to drive an Aston Martin Lagonda… It was 10 years before I drove my first Lambhorgini.”
Clarkson had also been regularly writing for the Top Gear magazine since its launch in 1993.
