Linda Robson’s Instagram Post, Heartwarming And Eye-Opening…
Earlier this year, Linda posted a photo of her family on her Instagram with the caption,
“I’ve always been an open and honest person but talking about my mental health and everything me and my family have been through over the last year and a half was one the scariest things I’ve ever had to do.
“I’m overwhelmed by the messages of support I’ve received over the last couple of days – from friends and strangers. I wanna thank my family, my friends and my Loose Women team for all their patience and love, I couldn’t have done it without them.
“Looking forward to a healthier, happier year in 2020. See you all soon.”

Apparently, life has been miserable for Linda for the past few years. She battled with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety and depression. She also used alcohol as a coping mechanism and things didn’t go very well.
It got to a point where she started taking four baths a day, became erratic, addicted to social media and alcohol, lost too much weight, had to clear the rubbish even when it had just two teabags in it and washed her bedding every day.
Fortunately, Linda took a year off after a very bad meltdown and went for treatment.
“I was having a meltdown. I came off the wine, and I used to take a tablet to help me sleep every night. When I came off the wine, I upped the tablet, and then I got concerned about taking the tablet.
“So I went to see somebody about it and they gave me a tablet – I won’t mention the name but I had a really bad reaction to it, a proper meltdown. I got really bad anxiety, really bad depression, and my OCD kicked into overdrive.”
Her Family Came In At The Right Moment To Help Her…
“Family found me somewhere to go, to help me, I went in this place for six weeks, went into it on so many tablets and left with, even more, it was my doctor who said ‘You’ve had the worse reaction to this medication I have ever seen…’
“Even that you have to come down slowly, took me a long time to get back to feeling normal.”
“People joke when they hear someone saying about OCD they think it’d a bit of a joke or whatever, but it’s not actually a joke, it took over my life. I couldn’t clean everything enough.”
But, Things Are Looking Good For Linda Now!
She fought her battles and she is back stronger than before. She returned to Loose Women panel after a year on January 10.
Naturally, she was nervous to step into the studio after a long break.

“I didn’t sleep well the night before, but when I walked in everyone was so lovely that I felt like crying.
“I talked on the show about what I’d been through because I wanted to help anyone else who might be going through the same thing.”
She also said,
“I had reached breaking point and the reason I’m telling you this now is because I want anyone else who might be feeling the same way to read this and know that they’re not alone and that things can get better for them too. They just have to accept help, like I did.”
