Stormzy was originally born Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr… Not sure that would fit on the album cover so stagename Stormzy it is!
The rapper was born in Croydon, London and grew up in South Norwood with his Ghanaian mother, brother and two sisters.

Stormzy’s age is 26 years old. He was born on 26th July 1993. The musician began his rapping career at the age of just eleven years old!
During his school years, Stormzy said he was a bit of a troublemaker:
‘ I was a very naughty child, on the verge of getting expelled, but I wasn’t a bad child; everything I did was for my own entertainment. But when I went into an exam I did really well.’

Stormzy first captured our attention when he released his Wicked Skengman freestyles as a YouTube series. The artist revealed in an interview that:
‘I made the Wicked Skengman series. I don’t wanna sound selfish but they weren’t really for the audience; it was purely for my enjoyment.’
His debut EP Dreamers Disease came out in 2014. Following that, he became the first unsigned rapper to make an appearance on Later…with Jools Holland and won Best Grime Act at the 2014 and 2o15 MOBO Awards.
Stormzy Age 25: Became The First Black British Solo Headliner At Glastonbury Festival
Stormzy’s rise to fame is one of the most impressive leaps we’ve ever seen in the music world. Performing on the Pyramid Stage, he became the first grime artist to headline Glastonbury after the release of just one album ‘Gang Signs & Prayer’ including hit single ‘Blinded by your grace’ which peaked at number seven in the UK singles chart.
Stormzy’s debut album was also the first grime album to reach number one in the UK Albums Chart.
He released another album ‘Heavy is the Head’ in 2019.
