The former Big Brother star – who shot to fame on the reality show in 2002 – will front Alison Hammond’s Happy Hour, in which she is expected to interview celebrities, as she does in her role as a roving reporter on This Morning.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column:
‘Producers have been increasingly impressed with Alison’s comic timing and prowess at interviewing stars.
‘Her down-to-earth and quick-witted personality have made her a hit with viewers and producers think she’s ready for the limelight’.
The hour-long ITV programme is also expected to feature lifestyle segments, exercise regimes, and makeovers.
Alison is known for her comical interviews with A-list stars on This Morning, including one broadcast earlier this week with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
The 44-year-old presenter was chatting to the Hollywood actresses about their new Apple TV+ series The Morning Show when she played a game with them, challenging the pair to see if they could identify whether certain scenarios had actually aired on This Morning or not.

She told the pair:
‘We had a knife thrower on the show, who threw one of his knives at his assistant and it hit her in the head.
‘Is that This Morning, or This Can’t Be Real?’
Reese and Jennifer both insisted it must not be real because “you can’t air that stuff” – but it was in fact true.
Alison then showed them the footage, to which they were stunned, with Jennifer accidentally saying “s**t”.
Reese added:
‘Well, now I’m starting to think this is the craziest show I’ve ever seen’.
Alison appeared on the third series of Big Brother in 2002 – which featured the late Jade Goody – and was the second housemate evicted.
She has starred in numerous reality shows since, such as Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Coach Trip, and has acted in the likes of Doctors and The Dumping Ground.
