What is Ashley’s background?..
She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 14, 1981 – which makes Ashley Roberts’ age, 38.
Her father was a drummer for the Mamas & the Papas and her mother was a pilates instructor.
She began dancing at just 3 years-old and started to since when she was 8.
When she had finished high school she moved permanently to Los Angeles – after spending many summers in California to study modern dance.
Her time in the Pussycat Dolls…
Less than six months after moving to L.A. Ashley auditioned to be a member of The Pussycat Dolls; which, at the time, were a burlesque troupe.
As they grew in popularity, they evolved into a pop girl group, with the likes of Nicole Scherzinger and Melody Thornton joining the group.
The groups debut album, PCD, was released in September 2005 and had many number-one singles including, Don’t Cha, Buttons and Stickwitu.

Three years later they released their second and final album, Doll Domination.
Ashley recorded the solo single, Played, for the albums deluxe edition.
They are one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, having sold 54 million records around the world.
She was the third member of the group to announce that she was leaving.
She wrote on her website:
‘Yes, I have left the Pussycat Dolls. I love you all sooo much!!! I am so grateful to have the love and support of all of you.
‘It was an amazing ride and I learned so much! You all mean the world to me and I’m excited to take you all on a new adventure. An adventure full of creativity, inspiration, learning, growing and lots of fun’.
Her time on British soil…
Ashley competed in the twelfth series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. She was the runner-up of the twelfth series, being defeated by Charlie Brooks.
Although she didn’t win, she found fame with the British public and and has since become a household name.
Since then she has appeared on many British TV shows such as The Jump, Let It Shine, served as a judge on Dancing On Ice (before its revival) and also hosted the ‘Ant vs Dec’ segment on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
In 2018, Ashley took part in Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with Pasha Kovalev and they reached the final! However, they lost out on the Glitterball Trophy to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.

What’s happened since Strictly?..
In June 2019, Ashley joined the Heart Radio Breakfast Show alongside Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden. She is the shows Showbiz Expert.
Earlier this year she played Dawn in Waitress, the musical, for eight weeks.
Ashley started a relationship with Strictly Come Dancing professional, Giovanni Pernice.
