Who Is Going Into The Jungle? Rumoured I’m A Celeb 2019 Cast
We’re just a few weeks away from 2019’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and ITV bosses are working around the clock to rope in the biggest and best A-listers to enter to jungle…
It’s fair to say that last year’s series – hosted temporarily by Holly Willoughby (standing in for Ant) and Declan Donnelly – was one of the most successful to date, becoming the highest-rated in the show’s history.
In a surprising (and much less dramatic) twist of fate, viewers enjoyed watching the 2018 camp-mates strike up long-lasting friendships, rather than arguments (as we’ve seen so many a time on the show). Who knew?
When it comes to confirming the show’s contestants, we often don’t get anything concrete until the paparazzi photos emerge from the Aussie airport, so it’s too early for any official announcements. But, as discussions are in full flow, reports are surfacing that a number of celebs have already agreed to take on the jungle.
Here’s who we suspect will be in the 2019 I’m A Celeb cast…
Lucy Fallon

Who is she? An actress from Coronation Street.
It’s been reported that because Lucy, who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, will be exiting Corrie when her contract finishes in 2020, she will be available for the show which usually starts in November.
A source close to Lucy has revealed that:
“Lucy is bubbly, funny, down-to-earth and game for a challenge, so she is a great fit for I’m A Celebrity.”

Who is he? Blue singer and former Hollyoaks actor.
Apparently, if there’s one celeb who’s guaranteed to be on the show, it’s Duncan – it’s almost a done deal.
“Producers think he could be telly gold because he will have to face his phobias head-on – and he’s scared of creepy crawlies.”
“The best campmates are the ones who have to overcome their fears – and Duncan has told them he is game for anything.”
Olivia Atwood

Who is she? One of the Love Island cast 2017.
In August, the reality TV star revealed that she’d been discussing with the show’s bosses about taking part in the jungle.
“There have been conversations with I’m A Celebrity,”she said. “It’s ongoing. It would be my dream to do the jungle. I’ve made no qualms about that. It’s such an iconic show.
“Going out there gave me a taste for it. I got to do a trial, which was amazing. I think if I got to go on the show I would surprise people. I’m more of a tomboy than people think. Just because you look a certain way doesn’t mean you can’t eat a spider.”
Jennifer Metcalfe

Who is she? A Hollyoaks actress.
Last month, a source revealed that ITV bosses were hoping to secure the actress – who plays Mercedes in Hollyoaks – for the 2019 series.
“Jen is perfect for the jungle. She’s really funny and attractive and she loves a challenge.”
Richard Madeley

Who is he? An author and TV presenter.
Hosts Ant and Dec used the words ‘tracked down’ and ‘chased’ at a TV conference when discussing their efforts to get him on the show. However, Madeley has already been signed up for the reality show The Circle, which suggests he might not be graced our I’m A Celeb screens this year.
Summer Monteys-Fullam

Who is she? Paul Hollywood’s ex girlfriend.
Summer hit headlines after she split from Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood, making her one of I’m A Celeb’s top picks after reportedly being offered around £125,000 to take part.

Who is he? A radio presenter and son of English actor Martin Kemp.
Roman’s another celeb thought to be lined up for the jungle. According to a source close to him:
“Roman is a fun, loquacious young star and super-well-connected. He must have countless showbiz tales about his pals,”
“If he chose to reminisce about [godfather] George Michael, that could be quite emotional.”
Alan Halsall

Who is he? The actor who plays Tyrone Dobbs in Coronation Street.
Alan sparked rumours recently after he shared a photo of himself on social media with the caption:
“It’s a jungle out there.”
Amy Hart

Who is she? Amy was on Love Island 2019.
After quitting Love Island following a breakup with dancer Curtis Pritchard, Amy put herself forward for the show. After being interviewed on Heart radio, Amy revealed she’d “absolutely love” to head into the jungle.
“Yeah get Aims in the jungle,”she (half) joked.
Ian Wright

Who is he? A former professional footballer and pundit.
The Sun revealed that Ian would be a huge signing “ITV who have been keen to get him Down Under for a while”.
“After watching Harry Redknapp win the last series, Ian has decided he would be up for giving it a whirl. He’s been offered a six-figure sum to take part.
“Ian’s not afraid of much but has joked to his pals he’ll be useless at the eating tasks because he’s so fussy.”
Gemma Collins

Who is she? She’s in Towie and she’s a TV personality.
Gemma had a brief spell in the bush back in 2014 (how could we ever forget). But the experience apparently hasn’t traumatised her as much as we all thought; it sounds like she’s up for another go.
Gemma revealed on the Jonathon Ross Show that she’d been terrified by her time in the jungle:
“Looking back, I don’t feel I was ready for that show. I’ve got a tougher skin now, and I think that’s where The GC came into play. If they asked me back, yes I’d go back.”
