Simon Cowell: Net worth, Multi-Talents And White Teeth
There is no need for an introduction for Simon Cowell. Known as the music and television mogul, his net worth is a staggering $570 million.
The 60-year-old talent manager, businessman, talent show judge and entrepreneur recently celebrated his 60th birthday on October 7.
Looking fit, healthy and with teeth whiter than they have ever been in 60 years, Simon Cowell proves yet again that he is a man of different facets.
Harsh Comment And Talent Generating Machine
He is notorious for his harsh, blunt, sarcastic and insensitive comments on the many talent shows he judges.

Just a few examples:
“There is as much chance of you being a pop star or a rock star as me flying to the moon tomorrow morning for breakfast. It’s never going to happen.”
“I’m not being rude, but you were that bad honestly. I mean my pen has got more charisma.”
“If you were to progress in this competition and God forbid win, I think you could single-handedly close down this show.”
“Just get out. Just leave.”
“Do you have a singing teacher? Get a lawyer and sue her.”
Yep, these are definitely harsh…But, what does he think about it?

“Harshness to me is giving somebody false hopes and not following through. That’s harsh. Telling some guy or some girl who’ve got zero talent that they have zero talent actually is a kindness.”
Rude (or not) commentaries aside, Simon Cowell is the creator of ‘The X Factor’, a British reality television music competition.
Since 2004, the show has expanded terrifically and is said to have created the most number of music careers internationally. Some of these include Fifth Harmony and One Direction. Other artists from the show have sold more than 500 million records (Leona Lewis is one of them).

Now, does this make the rude comments tolerable?
Other Shows His Rude Comments Are A Part Of…
Besides ‘The X Factor’, Simon Cowell is also the creator of the ‘Got Talent’ shows.
The ‘Got Talent’ shows is claimed to be the most successful reality TV format in the world and hold the Guinness World Record for the highest number of adaptations.

‘Britain’s Got Talent’ has won:
- Three National Television Awards
- Two Royal Television Society Awards
- BAFTA for Best Entertainment Awards in 2018 and 2019
‘America’s Got Talent’ is now in its 14th season and is continuously #1 summer series every year.

Simon Cowell does not stop at creating these shows. He is also one of the judges. His co-judges in the latest season of ‘British Got Talent’ were Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
On ‘America’s Got Talent’ he judges alongside Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and Howie Mandel.
Here’s why he does it, again and again:

“I love TV. I love being behind the scenes on a TV show but there’s something about, I don’t know there’s something very special when you’ve signed an artist and that first record comes in and it’s a good record. It is an indescribable feeling.”
His Life Besides Work…
Simon Cowell and his partner Lauren Silverman got together in 2009 and the couple had their son, Eric on February 14, 2014.

Eric, who is now five years old made his appearance in ‘The X Factor’ and ‘Britains Got Talent’ in 2017 and 2018, respectively.
Like all of us, looks like parenthood had greatly impacted Simon Cowell.

“People have asked me if I have changed since I have had Eric and of course you do, you can’t help it.”
‘In a very positive way you start, particular now he’s four, looking at the world through his eyes as well, which is fun because we get to watch great movies together!’
Turning Vegan At 60
Simon lost 20lb after becoming a vegan and stopped binging on sausage rolls, hamburgers and jam tarts.
Following a fall down the stairs in October 2017 due to his unhealthy lifestyle which must have given him the fear, he embarked on a healthy journey.

Another reason for his lifestyle change is his son Eric.
“Part of the reason I did it was because of Eric. I realised if I didn’t sort myself out physically, I wouldn’t be able to catch up with him. ‘Because the minute he gets up to the minute he goes to sleep…their energy, you forget, at five years old, is phenomenal’.
His 60th birthday celebration included a bike ride with his family along the beach in California. He has also opted for a birthday without a birthday cake to stick to his new diet.
The results were remarkable and obvious during his birthday party recently.
A little too obvious perhaps, since his pearly white teeth were shining brighter than ever.
It is speculated that Simon Cowell has veneers due to his missing upper right lateral incisor and may have cost him a whopping £50,000.

This is not the first time his white teeth and smile have been under the spotlight. Back in 2007, during an audition of The X Factor, a 70-year-old woman wanted to win the competition so that she could get dental care and have a smile like Simone Cowell’s.

Simon Cowell’s Words Of Wisdom For Success
As someone who is reputable, successful and a mogul of American and British television, Simon Cowell’s words of wisdom must carry a lot of weight.

“Every single negative can lead to a positive. Any negative situation don’t get too down about it – you’ll work it out. You learn it as you go along, you don’t get smart at 17, you just don’t unless you’re one of a billion. It will happen over time and it’s the getting there which will be the most fun.”
“My dad said to me, ‘Work hard and be patient.’ It was the best advice he ever gave me. You have to put the hours in.”
