Holly Hagan’s Instagram account shared a picture of her skin, which had broken out really badly due to stress. She was so upset she cancelled a holiday with friends and cried with her boyfriend all night. She said:
“I’m the most stressed I’ve ever been in my life, my skins broke out into tiny little white heads everywhere and my mouth is full of ulcers.”
“I’ve cancelled my holiday with my friends and literally cried all night to my boyfriend.”

She also shared how the shoot made her feel:
“I did a shoot with the most beautiful girls yesterday and I can’t tell you how self-conscious I was. Obviously, everyone was so lovely and reassuring but I’m looking in the mirror like my chin looks like it has rice crispys stuck to it. You feel so embarrassed.”
“With everything that’s been going on recently I feel we have a responsibility to show that our lives are not perfect. I don’t want you to look at the things I’m doing and think I have the perfect life when actually I’m sat crying into my Chinese.”

Holly Hagan’s Instagram Q And A

She was asked what she would say to her fans who are feeling insecure, she said:
“I find it so hard to answer this question because I feel like a hypocrite. I endured quite heavy abuse based on how I looked and I did succumb to the pressures of this industry and society in general.”
“So for me to sit here and say “just love yourself as you are” I know that isn’t always enough. And how can I tell other people to do that when I couldn’t do it myself.”
“But what I will say is regardless of your size or the way you look doesn’t determine your worth or how you should be treated.”
Holly Hagan’s Instagram story also spoke about how beauty is only skin deep:
“We are so much more than just our external shell and I wish I could have learnt that sooner. Be a good person and let your beauty shine from within.”
She shared that she’s heard it all before online, and how she’s had to grow a thicker skin in order to fully accept who she is:
“Calling me fat/ugly/slag I’ve heard it all before it doesn’t bother me now. My goal is to help others who aren’t at that point of acceptance yet.”

Holly Regrets Promoting Weight Loss Products On Instagram
The Geordie Shore star has been really open about how she regrets promoting weight loss products on social media. She said:
“It was something that me and a lot of influencers did without really thinking of the consequences.”
“[I heard] from a lot of people and thinking about if I had children would I want them to grow up thinking they had to buy these products to be thin? The answer was of course no.”
Next, Holly Hagan’s Instagram story talked about how she didn’t think of herself as a role model. But her views have changed:
“I never classed myself as a “role model” but I realise that I’m in a position where people will be influenced by what I promote and say. When you’re being offered money that you know can help your family you don’t always think of the consequences.”
Fellow Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson recently got banned for promoting coloured contact lenses on Instagram. Meanwhile, Holly’s Hagan’s Instagram posts have been really open about how everything she does is seen by her fans. She’s trying to learn from her mistakes and do better going forward. Great job Holly!
