Charlotte Dawson UK Star: How Did She Get There?
As “Charlotte Dawson UK Star” is a reality star, now is a good time to explore a variety of matters in her career. Especially as news emerges that the reality star will be hosting her own dating show!
She’s A Down To Earth Mancunian
When you think of Mancunian comics, the name Les Dawson (Charlotte’s father) is still near the top of the list.
Charlotte never met her father, as he died when she was just eight months old, yet it’s clear that the Manchester girl is through-and-through Manc.
Instagram posts have revealed that bubbly personality in the Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach star.
The Celebs Go Dating and Ex On The Beach star attended the launch of candle company Scentsory at Victors in Alderley Edge, where she joined The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Ester Dee, and the bubbly ladies are planning another girls’ night out.
Ester said:
“Charlotte is an amazing friend and one of the realest people you’d hope to meet. I love going out with her, we are planning a big night out.”
Back home after the launch Charlotte changed into a unicorn onesie and munched on supermarket brand cheese puffs while her boyfriend Matt Sarsfield worked out on an exercise bike.
More on her and Matt in a moment.
Charlotte Dawson’s Career Is Keeping Les Dawson Alive
Charlotte first arrived on the public spotlight via YouTube as a makeup specialist. Her public profile rose through appearances on reality TV shows, which is paying dividends for Charlotte Dawson as UK public profile.
But her famous surname has played a part in shaping who she is. Mum Tracy has done her best to keep Charlotte connected to her late father Les. When baby Charlotte was just eight months old in 1993, Les went into the hospital for a routine check-up. Tragically, he suffered a fatal heart attack whilst awaiting the results.
Raising young Charlotte single, Tracy ensured her father’s memory became a part of the woman Charlotte would become.
Charlotte and mum Tracy often visit his memorial, a bronze statue erected 15 years after his passing, in Lytham St Anne’s.
They also hold a vigil on Christmas Day and munch their festive lunch in the family home, close to his ashes in the garden.
Thoughtful Tracy put a video clip showing Les welcoming newborn Charlotte home into safe-keeping for when her daughter grew up.
Charlotte told the Sunday Mirror:
“I am so lucky to have this footage.
“It is heartbreaking.
“But my mum has always kept my dad alive for me.”
The entertainment industry – which loves a comeback – has taken notice. News emerged in October 2019 that Charlotte’s mum Tracy is shopping two scripts Les had written before his death that were never published.
Talks are at the preliminary stage.
Tracy, who married the Blankety Blank game show host in 1989 after his first wife died, added:
“I’ve been speaking to an agent about making it happen.
“I want to do it while I’m alive. There’s loads to do. We need to get a producer and a director who will take it on.”
Her Friends Appreciate Her Love For Her Late Father
One particularly memorable chapter in Charlotte’s reality television career involved her time on MTV’s Just Tattoo Of Us.
In October 2017, the show welcomed both Charlotte and her Love Island BFF Katie Salmon. The episode led with a fairly big row between the two friends but ended on a decidedly more emotional and poignant note.
The series premiere was even crazier than we expected, with Charlotte Dawson and Katie Salmon promptly erupting into a HUGE argument before their new inkings were even revealed as Katie admitted she hadn’t finished getting the unicorn tattooed on her vagina…
Sharing his thoughts on the episode, (show co-host Stephen) Bear added:
“I thought Katie and Charlotte’s tattoos were quite funny in a sense where, Katie thought she was getting something bad and she did, but when Katie designed one for Charlotte of Charlotte’s dad (Les Dawson) on her neck, it was quite touching.”
Here’s a recap of the memorable scene.
Charlotte Is A Celebrity Dater With An Interesting Love Life
The concept of “Charlotte Dawson UK Star” relies on Charlotte’s myriad of reality show appearances. In particular, she has a niche as a celebrity dater.
Charlotte first made her mark on the MTV reality programme Ex On The Beach in 2016. The raunchy show saw Charlotte get up to a threesome.
She flirted up a storm in the racy MTV show Ex on the Beach back in 2016.
After bedding Geordie Shore’s Gaz Beadle in a saucy threesome, she was left panic-stricken when her ex Alex arrived on the sun-soaked island.
She was then forced to (sic) chose between Alex and Manchester lad Jordan Davies, eventually opting to spend some more time with “stubborn” Alex.
She went on to appear in Celebs on the Farm, then seek love again on E4’s Celebs Go Dating. The latter appearance saw her in a brief relationship with Frankie Cocozza that didn’t take.
But amidst all of the dating in the public eye, Charlotte still tried to carry on relationships outside of the small screen.
Charlotte split from rugby player Matt Sarsfield back in February, 2017 and claimed her “heart had been ripped out”.
Before hooking up with the (sic) Swintons Lions star, she had a brief fling with BFF Jemma Lucy but has since admitted their ‘romance’ was fake.
She and Sarsfield have reunited, according to the Manchester Evening News.
