From 2013 to 2016, Roberts co-hosted Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway. Rumors emerged of a romantic relationship with co-host Declan Donnelly. She was quick to put out that fire though.
In the summer of 2018, Roberts would add another huge TV show to her CV. It was announced that she would be a contestant on popular dancing show Strictly Come Dancing.
She and her professional dancing partner, Pasha Kovalev, finished joint runners-up.
Tragic Family Trouble
While she had a successful stint on the show, this was also a tragic time for the American dancer.
In 2018, her father Pat sadly took his own life. Roberts addressed the rumors on her Instagram page:
“With great sadness in my heart, I wanted to share with you that on the 19th of March – after a long battle of physical and mental heath – My father took his own life. The past 3.5 weeks I’ve been in a state of shock, confusion, questioning, pain so deep in my guts it’s been hard to come up for air.”
But Roberts vowed to take the memory of him with her as she continued her career. Today, she starts in the West End production Waitress.
