But being part of the talent show is is just a part of her nearly 20 year career so we’re taking a look at Amanda’s transformation from a 19 year old on Blind Date to her current, fabulous self.

In 2004, Amanda took to the stage; her most notable role playing the lead in Thoroughly Modern Millie.
It was this role which led to her nomination for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress.
Then from 2006 to 2008, Holden won a part in the television series Wild At Heart. She appeared in the role of Sarah Trevanian. Playing the part for three series, she acted alongside Stephen Tompkinson.
In 2011, the widely-beloved film Shrek was turned into a stage musical and Holden took up the role of Princess Fiona. Leaving the role 10 weeks earlier than planned, she was replaced by Girls Aloud member Kimberly Walsh.

In 2006, Amanda gave birth to her first child, Lexi, with record producer Chris Hughes. The pair married two years later in Somerset.
In 2011, Amanda gave birth to son Theo, who was stillborn at seven months.
A stillbirth is considered as the loss of a baby beyond 24 weeks. Before 24 weeks, it is considered a miscarriage.
Amanda opened up about the experience seven years later.
She said:
“I have such a charmed and lovely life and I just never imagined I would miscarry a baby. Never. You never think it might happen to you.”
I’ll literally do anything for the National Health Service because they got me through it, they got Chris through it and I now thankfully have two healthy girls and a little boy who is still part of the family but just not here.”
Reflecting on seeing her baby boy, she said:
“He looked so normal and so peaceful. I held him in my arms and I said goodbye, basically.”

An Enviable Wardrobe
If there’s one word to describe Amanda’s wardrobe it is definitely controversial.
Always daring to flash a bit of skin, Amanda’s outfits have stirred up a fair few fusses – especially on BGT.
But Amanda has admitted that she never really thinks about her age when she gets dressed.
In fact, Amanda believes the reality show is the perfect opportunity to take risks.
She said:
“I dress to feel confident. I try not to think about age anymore when I’m dressing,’
“My children don’t bat an eyelid at what I wear and love borrowing my clothes.”
In 2017, one of her dresses received a record number of complaints to the watchdog Ofcom.

The £11,250 lace dress made by Julien Macdonald received more complaints than Russell Brand swearing and making sexual references during comic relief.
In 2018, Amanda wore a bodysuit covered by a glittering see-through skirt which was met with viewers calling for her to ‘put her boobs away’.
Earlier this year, on the latest season of Britain’s Got Talent, Amanda admitted:
My t**s seem to become the show’s biggest talking point every year. ‘We’ve had plenty of complaints apparently, but none from home, let me tell you.”
And Amanda certainly hasn’t let it change her style.
She said:
“Times have changed and I don’t feel anyone should feel pressure to dress for your age. It’s all about body positivity and feeling good.”
Preach.
Broken Leg
The Heart radio presenter was recently rushed to hospital after breaking her leg in two places on an inflatable assault course.
The family was on a European holiday when the incident happened. She had to have a metal plate fitted as she had snapped her fibula in two places.
Amanda said:
“I suffered a nasty accident while playing in the sea with the family during our half-term holiday and subsequently broke my leg in two places.
“I had an operation on Friday and a metal plate was fitted.”
