Last night’s episode (16.07.19) saw the firefighter try to make immense with Amber for “taking out his frustration” on her when he commanded she take a seat before he told her he wasn’t interested in rekindling their romance, following the departure of Joanna Chimonides on Monday’s episode (15.07.19).Michael says: “When I came over and told you to sit down, it was because you had been wearing heels all night and I didn’t want you to walk anywhere else.
“I am apologising if it came across in a bad way.”

Amber replies: “I just think you really need to think about the way you speak to me, because it comes across really badly.
“I knew you before and you never spoke to me in a way that made me feel upset.”
Michael responds: “I don’t actually want to hurt you and I never have. Right now, it seems that I take all of my frustration out on you.”
The incident in question received 147 Ofcom complaints as well as sparking outrage online, with fans deeming Michael’s behaviour as “unacceptable”.
A spokesperson for the broadcasting watchdog told RadioTimes.com that the majority of complaints were “related to Michael’s behaviour”.
During the chat, Michael told Amber: “I am still ultimately in the same place where I want to get to know Joanna, I just wanted to be 100 per cent clear [with you].”
Following their exchange, Maura Higgins was shocked by his tone, asking their fellow islanders: “Did she just let him talk to her like that? Sit down? That was really rude.”
