What Happened In The Series Three Finale?
Before we get carried away with series 4, let’s cast our minds back to season 3’s dramatic conclusion…
After striking up a possible romance with Captain Charles James, series three ended on a cliffhanger with Georgie under fire, teasing fans with a potential follow-up season.

The army medic revealed her feelings for the Capitan after she was injured in an explosion. Meanwhile, Maisie and Rab revealed feelings for each other that lead to Rab asking her to marry him.
The season concluded on a – quite literal – cliffhanger as viewers watched in fear as 2 Section tried to get away from a cartel, ending up jumping off a cliff.
When Does Season 4 Start?
Although we don’t have an exact date for Our Girl season four yet, we do know that filming in South Africa has already begun AND it will be out sometime in 2020.

Given that season one through the three have usually been released in early autumn, we’re expecting (and hoping) that season four will follow suit.
Which Cast Are Returning?
The question on everyone’s mind: will Keegs be returning for a forth series?
Yes – fans will be relieved to find out that Michelle WILL be reprising her role in the drama.
Keegan said:
“Being in Our Girl has been one of the highlights of my career so far.
“I feel very lucky to be part of the show and I’m really excited that it’s coming back.

“The audience response has been so positive and I think Georgie is a character who resonates with viewers.
“I absolutely love playing the role.
Be prepared for another incredible series – Georgie’s still got unfinished business.”
A TV source revealed that:
“Producers think that Michelle has been really good for the show, after taking over from Lacey Turner, and were always keen to write her into a further series after developing her character.
They have some meaty storylines lined up involving both action and romance.”
We. Just. Can’t. Wait.
What Else You Need To Know
We know that Michelle Keegan will (thankfully) be back on our screens in season 4, but who else will join Mrs Mark Wright on the show?
Well, we’re sad to say that unfortunately Ben Aldridge – who plays Charles James – had ruled out his return to the show *cries*.

Speaking to Metro, he revealed:
“I’m not sure where they stand with Our Girl at the moment. I know there were rumblings of it doing another series. I don’t think I could be a part of that.
“I’m doing another job which would make pretty much unavailable for next year, depending on when Our Girl films. But I’m not sure I’d be available to be used.
“I was never in contract to do another one, none of us were, so I guess it’d be basically who they could get back and, when they decide to do it, who’s available kind of thing.”
Yep – that means that the budding romance between Georgie and the hunky heartthrob will probably not end too well…
