Judy Geller (Christina Pickles) – Then
Judy Geller is the wife of Jack Geller and Ross and Monica’s mother. She is defined mainly by her critical attitudes towards Monica and her open favouritism of Ross. She usually makes digs at Monica and her back-handed compliments can send her into a rage.
Ultimately, in spite of their differences, Judy and Monica love each other deep down. Judy has a good relationship with Rachel and they become even closer once Rachel gives birth to daughter, Emma. She described her a ‘special girl’ unlike the other girls Ross had ‘humped’ (ugh cringe!).
Actress Christina Pickles has continued to act into her eighties and in 2018 won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for Break a Hip.
