Philip Wiegratz (Augustus Gloop) – Then
Augustus Gloop was a greedy, vile child who was allowed to gorge on chocolate and sweets in spite of the fact that it was making him morbidly obese. He is not very vocal throughout the film (usually because his mouth is always full) and he only discovered his golden ticket while he was mid-way chomping through a wonka bar and happened to taste it in his mouth!
He ends up being the first of the children to be removed from the tour after accidentally falling into the chocolate river and getting sucked up a pipe!
Actor Philip Wiegratz is a German actor who has since established a career in Germany. In 2007, he appeared on German children’s TV programme Ki.Ka Live and went on to star in several German films including Lore and Ruby Red.
