What Is Jamie Laing’s Net Worth?
As of 2020, the MIC star’s net worth is $10 million, which is around £8 million.
Where did he get his fortune?..
Jamie’s great grandfather, Alexander Grant, invented the Digestive biscuit, Jaffa Cake and Rich Tea! As if that wasn’t enough, Alexander ended up becoming the chairman and managing director of United Biscuits (the owners of the brand McVities).
However, rumour has it that the McVities heir is yet to see any of his inherited fortune. I wonder how much Jamie’s net worth will be with that added on?
Before he became a reality show star…
Jamie grew up as one of eight siblings between his parents various marriages. He attended Leeds University where he studied Theatre and Performance. He had odd jobs once he graduated – one of which was at Ralph Lauren where he had to hold a goldfish bowl for FOUR hours!
His life would change forever in 2011 when he joined the cast of the E4 reality show Made In Chelsea.
His time as a Made In Chelsea cast member…
Jamie has caused lots of drama on the tv show – remember when he was in love with Louise Thompson WHILST she was dating his best friend, Spencer Matthews? Well that was only the tip of the iceberg!
He has since gone on to date Phoebe Lettice, Tara Keeney, Lucy Watson, Jess Woodley, Naz Gharai, Frankie Gaff, Heloise Agostinelli and is supposedly dating Sophie Habboo. That’s a lot of Made In Chelsea cast members!
Former cast mate Spencer Matthews reportedly used to earn £400 for each episode of the show; it is unknown how much Jamie gets for each episode.
Other ventures…
Jamie launched his own candy and clothing brand, Candy Kittens in early 2012.
Who remembers the episode of MIC when Jamie was looking for his ‘kittens’… Once a player, always a player, huh?

The company made £25,000 on its opening night! The sweet treats are sold at many retailers which include Harvey Nichols, Topshop, Selfridges, Superdrug and Sainbury’s! The company’s success led Jamie to release the cook book: Candy Kittens: Recipes for Sweet Treats.
Jamie has also got into ‘serious’ acting. For example, he had a cameo in the UK soap opera Hollyoaks as a doctor in 2017. The previous year he played a fashion show attendee in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
He and friend as well as former cast mate, Francis Boulle, have the podcast, ‘Private Parts’.

More TV show appearances…
It’s not just Made In Chelsea that Jamie has starred in. He has also been in other TV show including Celebs Go Dating, Viral Tap, Reality Bites, First Dates, Celebrity Juice, Safeword, CelebAbility, I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp, Virtually Famous, The Crystal Maze, Through the Keyhole, Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Time It Takes, Sunday Brunch and Love Island: Aftersun.
In February, he starred in the Channel 4 four part series, Famous and Fighting Crime. The show is pretty much self explanatory – famous faces answer real 999 calls and go fight crime.
One of Jamie’s most memorable TV appearances was on the Channel 4 show, Celebrity Hunted alongside best friend Spencer Matthews. The pair came in second place, being caught out on day 12.
Time to put on his dancing shoes…
Jamie has just been announced as a contestant on this years series of Strictly Come Dancing. He has some tough competition with lioness Alex Scott, footballer David James and BBC Breakfast’s Mike Bushell to name a few.

Made in Chelsea, but ready to dance in Elstree! Welcome to #Strictly @jamielaing! 🕺
For taking part in the dancing show, it is acknowledged that each contestant will be paid £25,000.
However, if they reach the semi-finals, their pay is upped to £75,000. The Strictly Come Dancing champion is paid a staggering £100,000!
That would certainly add a nice amount to Jamie’s net worth.
