Your chat history isn’t exactly left open for the world to see if you lock your phone properly, but that doesn’t stop pesky notifications from popping up on your lock screen – which can be read by whoever is nearest your phone on the coffee table at the time.

Head to Settings then Notifications and choose to disable “Show Preview”.
