Elizabeth Smart (DISAPPEARED 2002 – Missing For 9 Months)
Elizabeth was just 14 years old when she was abducted from her bedroom in her Salt Lake City home by Brian David Mitchell; Smart shared the room with her sister, who pretended to be asleep while the crime took place. Elizabeth’s sister told their parents what had happened as soon as she could.
