9. Howard Keel
Howard Keel played the role of the dignified and hot-tempered oil baron, Clayton Farlow.

Howard was already a very successful actor and singer being well-known for his performances both on-stage and on-screen. He had a rich baritone voice which made him especially popular in some of the most famous MGM film musicals ever made such as ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ and ‘Calamity Jane’. After a battle with colon cancer, he died in 2004 at 85 years old.
