If you pay close attention to the show then you may have noticed that William Daniels’s name doesn’t appear in the opening or closing credits of Knight Rider.
There are a few rumours surrounding this decision to leave Daniels out of the credits.
However, the main story surrounding the decision is that Daniels decided to be uncredited for the role.

He wanted the audience of the show, especially young children, to believe the car had a mind of its own and leaving the car uncredited would preserve the mystery.
However, this plan quickly backfired as Daniels soon got recognized on the streets where he lived as the voice of K.I.T.T.
